FAQ

1Why are there two fees; the race registration category and an event swag package?

In this new race registration format, you get to make the decisions! First you choose your challenge distance which is a flat fee for all categories. Once you choose your adventure, then you get to choose your race gear package.

We wanted to do something a little different and offer you more options than the usual t-shirt and/or medal race package. You can choose to have the regular race items (finisher medal and/or tshirt) or you also have the option to upgrade your registration to several different premium levels. Just like you get to choose your own adventure you also get to choose your swag. There are 5 different event swag packages you can choose from after you choose your event category.

All registrations are a combination of a challenge distance and a race gear package. You cannot choose just the race distance and without an event swag package, and likewise you can not purchase an event swag package separately without signing up for a mileage category.

In addition, some gear included in each package is determined by your race category distance – i.e. the stickers included in all gear packages are based on what category distance you are registered for.

2What if I finish my challenge distance before the end date of September 22nd?

Congratulations, you rock! You do not have to spread your miles out over the entire 95 days to the end date, you can go as fast or as slow as you would like. Swag packages will be mailed out sooner to those who finish before September 22nd, however the earliest date a swag package would ship would be August 15th.

3What activities qualify for miles?

You will choose a category when you register – Feet (run, hike, or walk), Pedals (bicycle), or combination of Feet and Pedals. Keep track of your daily miles for the category you are registered.

  • Feet – Run/Hike/Walk – Any miles from running, hiking, or your daily walk. Total daily steps converted to miles do not count, we are promoting on purpose exercise! You do not have to do all miles the same way, i.e. all running, all hiking, or all walking. You can choose to only count one activity mode or you can count miles covered by running, hiking and walking or any combination of what you do.

  • Pedals– Bicycle: Any miles from riding a bike count - road, mountain, gravel, cruiser, commuter or stationary/trailer miles count. Same as above, you combine the miles from all your favorite ways to ride.

  • Combination Feet & Pedals – count miles for both run/hike/walk and biking. Perfect for those that want to cover a larger distance, multisport athletes, or injured runners.
4When I will receive my swag?

You will receive your swag package when you complete the distance of the challenge you registered for, but no earlier than August 15.

5What package get what swag?

6How To Log Your Miles
You will be logging your miles directly into the RunSignUp System (where you registered for the race).
Once you're ready... choose your mode (Run, Hike, Walk, or Bike) and then enter your miles for that day. You will have the option to enter time & elevation gain, but those are not required.
This is a honor system & not a race with awards for finishing first. It is up to you to enter in your miles. We are trying to make this as easy & simple as possible, so you will not need to upload proof of your distance.
Once the challenge starts on June 20th the mileage tracking will open & you can enter miles daily, every few days or at the end of each week.
